(19.68" x 15.74") To be promoted from “B” section to the “A” section in Prints, you must attain 17 or more points from each individual monthly competition i.e. 17-19-18-20, or 17-17-17-17 will get you promoted. However if a member experiences a near miss in achieving promotion they can submit an appeal to the committee for consideration. A member achieving sufficient score to be promoted does not however have to move to the “A” section if they do not wish to and can therefore remain in the “B” section. If a new member joining the club from another PAGB camera club that can demonstrate that they have previously competed in the “A” or senior section of their club can request that the committee consider a request for direct entry to the “A” section. Projected Image. Maximum Image size - 1024x768 Jpeg. Maximum of two images, (Subject to Change) for help with resizing "click here" or for a Resizing Utility "click here" Images are scored out of 20 points the same as the printed competitions, The projected image competitions are open to both “A” and “B” members. Progression to the “A” section is only achieved by points received in the MONTHLY PRINT competitions. Black & White prints. (As defined by the PAGB) A black and white image, which has been modified by the addition of a single tone to the entire image, is defined as a Monochrome Print. A black and white image, which has been modified by the addition of partial toning or by the addition of one colour to any part of the image, is a Colour Print. Important: - All competition entries must show only your Club Number and Title, do not put your name on your print, if this is not carried out your entry will not be allowed. Important: - Entries for the Colour Panel Cup and the Colour Projected Image of the Year competitions, must be submitted one week before the competition, Projected Image entries for Monthly Competitions again, must be handed in the week before the competition. Important: - All prints must be mounted and titled, all projected images correctly sized and titled, any image not conforming to this will not be accepted in the competition. Important: - The same print or projected image may only be entered in one monthly competition. However, reworked/improved prints or projected images may be entered in a subsequent competition, as an altered/different image. Entries for annual competitions must have been taken in the last year. Example, if you feel the judge’s comments would have improved your work, by cropping, removing colour cast etc,we may see what appears to be the same image on more than one occasion.The point of this is to improve one’s photography using the advice and comments from judges or other club members.You can either print your own images, or use one of the many available labs. Important: - Projected images may be from any source (digital camera, scanned from a slide or negative). Manipulation is allowed but all elements must be the photographer’s own work. Entries must be submitted on a memory stick. Projected images must be submitted the week before. Important: - Should you wish your work to be considered for external competitions the maximum size of your Mount & Print must be no larger than 500x400mm. Important: - Prints must be entered by 7.45pm ready for an 8.00pm start, ensure they are titled and include your club number on the print. |
