“Faversham Camera Club” formed in 1948, the camera club has been active in the town for 60 years, still with a solid and active membership. It is well known that the F.D.C.C is one of the friendliest photographic clubs in Kent, and a warm welcome is afforded to any new member. Should you just be starting photography and your camera is "only a compact" this does not matter, excellent results can be obtained once you have gained a little more knowledge from the club members, and should you be a weather worn experienced photographer, please come along and pass on your experience and knowledge to us. The club endeavours to put on a varied and interesting program consisting of, Lectures, Practical evenings, Club competitions, and inter club competitions, all members, and those new to photography are actively encouraged to enter the competitions so that the constructive advice offered by the judges can be put into practice, and therefore also assist in making your picture just a "little bit better". Please feel free to browse our web site and, we trust the contents of our site will encourage you to come along to the club. You do not have to join immediately you are most welcome to come along for a few evenings to meet the members and have a chat and see what we have to offer before deciding to join us, at The Faversham & District Camera Club. We are delighted to announce that through the generosity of the Lottery "Awards for All" scheme, Faversham CC has now obtained some excellent Digital Equipment which will benefit all at the club; members will now be able to view their work at its best, and learn as a club the endless possibilities of Digital Photo Manipulation and Printing. Put your mouse cursor over the images, for an insight of what we get up to. ![]() |
